Motivational Facets of Sustainable Entrepreneurship: A Systematic Review and Future Research Agenda

Entrepreneurial activity and especially sustainable entrepreneurship (SE) significantly impact the achievement of sustainability transition. While we have a decent understanding drivers entrepreneurial activity, there is limited knowledge no systematic consolidation existing work examining what motivates entrepreneurs to engage in SE. To address this issue, conducted literature review analyzing 50 papers derived from Scopus database since 2017. We found that specific construct discussed Motivation for Sustainable Entrepreneurship (MSE) argue it combined comprising motivation an on become entrepreneur. conclude by suggesting three areas future research: First, clear definition MSE needed, distinguishing constitutes impacting development engaging entrepreneurship. Second, despite having good factors influencing MSE, these are often based case-studies could benefit larger more diverse samples as well research methods.
